LOTTE Aluminum’s Ansan Plant acquired the ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) association’s P.S (Performance Standard) certification—the first in Korea—on February 18, 2020, demonstrating its commitment to environmental, social, and governance performance. (ASI membership was completed in June 2019.) Through ASI membership and acquisition of the P.S (Performance Standard), LOTTE Aluminum will strive to maximize the value created by aluminum in the value chain while minimizing its impacts, and will do its best to manage aluminum use more transparently and responsibly for a truly sustainable future. * The ASI association was founded in 2012 to expand sustainability and transparency across the aluminum industry and is a non-profit agreement led by major industry companies. It promotes the participation of various stakeholders to establish and encourage responsible leading practices across the entire aluminum value chain in business ethics, environmental, and social performance.
